Thomas Wegner

I was born in East Berlin and grew up in Rathenow, in the region Havelland in Brandenburg, Germany, during the GDR era.

After reunification and an apprenticeship as a sound and lighting engineer in Mainz, Rheinland-Pfalz, I worked as a freelancer for several years before I studied economics at the University of Bielefeld. Meanwhile I am working in the finance department of a agency in Berlin.

Back in Brandenburg, I got into photography. I love minimalist scenes and landscapes that are hardly noticed in daily life. Only under special weather conditions and at certain times of the day they reveal their beauty and create a unique atmosphere. Most of my pictures are taken in the Havelland.
